Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Cleanser
Before any more jibber jabber about the hair cleanser, let me introduce you to my hair.
· Trait 1 - Very thick and dark brown;
- Trait 2 - Dry, rather very dry and frizzy. I usually use generous amounts of oil in my hair after shampoo to control the frizz.
- Trait 3 - Lacks any lusture or shine
- Trait 4 - My hair has a mood of its own and on its bad mood days, no amount of hair creams, styling can bring it back to its normal mood. (sigh sigh) Conditioners and hair creams are futile in controlling the frizziness of my hair and my hair always win against these creams
I don’t get my hair straightened or permed and keep it shoulder length. Blow drying my hair means a hair cut which is accompanied by blow drying usually after every 3 months. In my efforts to get beautiful hair flaunted in hair product commercials, I emptied numerous bottles of shampoos and conditioners of brands like Pantene, L’Oreal and Sunsilk. Whatever effect these products had was short-lived and my hair was back to behaving nasty one day after shampoo.
So while wandering through endless pages of internet, trying to find ways to tame my hair, I read Anamika’s review of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Cleanser. I just couldn’t wait to buy this cleanser and bought this the very next day.

My experience with Patanjali Kesh Kanti Hair Cleanser:
· It is a natural product manufactured from ayurvedic herbs which are absolutely safe and natural.
· It has a nice orange fragrance which is very soothing. The orangey fragrance goes away after washing which is definitely good because hair smelling like orange would be a bit weird.
· Divyayoga’s claim that it makes hair soft, smooth and shiny is definitely true. I could see that my hair was actually soft and smooth just after first wash.
· I need to wash my hair only once while using this cleanser. When I use other shampoos, i usually have to shampoo my hair twice to feel squeaky clean. I don’t feel the need for a second wash while using this cleanser.
· I lost lesser hair strands during wash with this cleanser compared to when I would wash my hair with other shampoos.
· The price is a steal and a bottle lasts for almost 4 months with my shoulder length hair.
· It is a fantastic product for dry, rough and frizzy hair. I can tell this from personal experience. For the price of Rs. 65, it is worth trying.
What did not work for me :
· I was a bit disappointed when I bought the shampoo because the packaging was too bad. I love my cosmetics and skin care products which are nicely packed and look good enough to flaunt either on your dresser or in your bag. The packaging can be easily ignored considering the quality of the cleanser.
· It does contain the harmful SLES and parabens for base material and preservatives.
