You think of a brand, and chances are that they will be stocking it.Medplusbeauty is the first website where I found The Body Shop products, (Yes, you read it right, Body Shop) and believe me they did not one or two random products but a large no. of products from body shop including their newly launched virgin minerals range. How awesome is that. You can take a look at the entire range of body shop products stocked at MedplusBeauty here. 

I found some high end brands like Giovanni, Givenchy, Beyu, Freeman, which are not available on any other website. 

Price of every product in lesser then other online shopping websites. While browsing through the website, I found that on an average, they were providing discount in the range of 7% to 25% on large number of products. Huge discounts on even those products, which other websites usually stock and retail at their MRP.

My experience with MedPlus Beauty

They claims to deliver to metropolitan cities on same day. Now, doesn’t it feel like going for shopping and getting your goodies right away. Mostly, every other websites delivers products only after 2-3 days.

I placed order for my products on 7, January and received an email confirming my order  on the same day, within a gap of few minutes.  I placed the order at night, at around 9 pm and got the confirmation call the next day, which happened to be a Sunday. I am presuming that if I had placed the order earlier in the day, I would have received the confirmation telephone call on same day. To sum it up, very prompt services. They informed me that my order will be delivered within 2 to 5 days and I got it today, i.e. on fifth day. In between, their customer care department kept calling me to know whether I had received the order or not. Very friendly and helpful customer service. 

My products came packed in a sturdy cardboard box sealed well. It was lined with thermocoal sheets from all sides, including top and bottom. Very well packed and minimum chances of any breakage or damage to products. All the items were wrapped together in bubble wrap and placed in the middle. All products were in perfect condition and there was no breakage or any damage.

I did not experience any shortcoming in their services. so, no cons for me.

Few suggestions

• They should stock a few luxury brands also like Elizabeth Arden, Marks and Spencer, Bath and Body Works Collection, Victoria’s Secret etc.
• Tracking system inbuilt within the website, so that a customer can keep a tab on the status of his products.
• Add a notify option so that if a product is out of stock, a customer who wishes to purchase can be notified when the product is replenished.
• If they can stock foreign brands like NARS, MUFE, the Balm, which are so so hard to find in India.  I can think of all you girls nodding their heads in affirmation. Don’t you think we all will go crazy shopping for all these stuff?
• Hope they can stock professional hair care range from different brands like L’Oreal, Matrix biolage, Schwarzkopf etc. I have’nt yet seen the professional hair care range from these brands on any online shopping websites before.
• Should stock some Blemish Balm creams also. They are quite a rage already.

Deborah Milano Hi-Tech Blush Rosa Pesca

Hey Girls,

A review about one of my favourite blushes. Hope you will like it too.

Since, I am still quite new when it comes to using blushes and always fear that I might overdo it and end up looking like a clown. Darker shades of pinks are strictly a no-no for me and browns make me look ill and bruised. So, when I read a whole bunch of reviews about this blush, I could not wait to try this beauty. Deborah Milano Rosa Peca, shade 46 is a beautiful peachy shade, which gives a hint of colour alongwith a nice subtle shimmer. It looks very natural and one can never go over the top with this shade. A perfect shade for day wear and also night wear. 

What the company claims about the blush

Brushes on smoothly and stays on – no need to touch up. Stays color true all day for a radiantly even and natural look. Hypoallergenic. Formulated to minimize the risk of allergies.

My Experience with Deborah Milano Rosa Peca Blush

Packaging - The blush comes in a round black packaging with a transparent flip cap over it. The packaging has a small brush but no mirror. The brush is not really useful and I prefer big fluffy and dense brushes for my blushes. 

The Good about Deborah Milano Rosa Peca Blush

• The shade is absolutely gorgeous. No doubt it will work for fair skin tones as well as dark skinned girls too. It will show nicely on fair skin tones and give a glowy and dewy appearance on dark skinned beauties.
• Very smooth texture and very pigmented.
• Hypoallergenic, light weight and blends easily
• Stays on my dry skin for about 3-4 hours. I use a thick moisturizer and use it. It stays for about 3-4 hours and then also leaves a faint glow. 

The Not so Good about Deborah Milano Rosa Peca Blush

• The brush included in the blush case is pretty useless.
• No mirror included in blush case.
• Ingredients and weight not mentioned. I guess the weight is only about 3.5 to 4 grams.
• A little expensive. Blushes of some other well known brands are less expensive.

Ignoring the 'not so good' about this blush, i will buy it again, if I ever run out of it. It's definitely a 'My cheeks but better' shade for me. (sorry, for the silly phrase, could'nt help it.)

Faces Kajal Review

Every woman’s vanity box is never complete without a kajal, be it in a pencil, retractable or even a tub.

Today’s review is about Faces Kajal. So let’s start.

My Experience

The kajal comes in square lipstick like packaging with a small mirror which is great for touch ups. The cap snaps shut and won’t open on its own if it carried in handbag.

The texture and pigmentation of this kajal is just too good. It is really soft and a single swipe gives a nice jet black line. No pulling, tugging or stinging. It can be further thickened as per your preferences, whether you like to wear thin lines or thick lines. I tried this for lining my waterline, upper lash line, lower lash line and even tight lining. (Still trying to get a hang of tight lining) and it never stung my eyes. It’s the blackest black kajals I have come across.

The Faces kajal stays on my waterline for almost 5-6 hours, although it starts fading after about 4 hours. On my upper lash line, it kind of smudges because i have oily eyelids. Even when it smudges a bit on upper or lower lashline, it can be easily wiped with a cotton swab without giving any racoon eyes. 

To sum up

• Did not sting/irritate my eyes
• Very reasonably priced
• Easy to carry packaging and wont open in your purse.
• Super pigmented black shade
• Smudges very little and can be easily removed with a cotton swab or tissue.
• Soft, smooth and creamy texture, applies easily on the lids/waterline without any tugging.

I love it. What about you ?

A small tip for all brown eyed girls. If the colour of your eyes in brown or light brown (me included), rather then back, try a pigmented brown kajal. It looks wonderful. Try it. Brown kajals and kohls make your dark circles even less prominent. Tried and tested by Yours Truly. :-D

My experience with Himalaya Protein Shampoo Extra Moisturizing For Normal to Dry Hair 

Trusting the brand, I bought myself the biggest bottle of 400 ml. I dont want to sound rude or anything, but I have only one word for this product, ‘ Horrible’ I already have dry hair and bought this shampoo thinking it will really help to make my hair less dry and manageable as per its claims. But the claims fell flat right from the first time I used it. It’s one of most drying shampoos i have ever used. I usually oil my hair before a hair wash. When i used this shampoo, it made my hair extremely dry and more frizzy. It absolutely did nothing to tame dryness of my hair. The ends of my hair felt like straw (‘jhaadoo’ to be precise, lol) and I had these million tiny frizzy little monsters popping out of everywhere. 

Well, to compensate my hair for the torture I did to them with this shampoo, i treated them to a generous dose of warm coconut and olive oil and shampooed the very next day, of course with another shampoo. Long story short, i will never use this shampoo again.
